He is Risen! Happy Easter everyone!
We had a low key but great Easter! We didn't really do the Easter Bunny this year because Kennedy is a little too young to understand. We do plan on incorporating the Easter Bunny into our Easter traditions, however, we also want to make sure Kennedy knows the real reason for Easter. We read her the Easter story from her children's bible this morning and when we said prayers at nighttime we thanked Jesus for his ultimate sacrifice. We also do not plan on going overboard with her Easter basket like half of the people I saw on social media. Good grief! Waaay too much!
Nick's mom did get her a small Easter basket with Cinderella eggs, a Noah's Ark bath toy and a new Minnie Mouse toy. Of course, I forgot to take a picture. Here are some pictures I did get from the weekend:
This picture was taken on the way home from church, Kennedy's first photobomb! Haha!
We usually do an egg hunt at Nick's parents house the day before Easter with all the grandkids but the weather was miserable Saturday so we did a small Easter egg hunt at our house for Kennedy on Sunday. She LOVED it and was obsessed with finding the eggs and putting them in her basket. She wanted to do it all over again after she found them all. I think she is really going to have fun next year with all of her cousins.
Love how these pictures turned out even though Daddy's deer stand is the background!
Again, she did great with the Easter Bunny, no fear at all! So far we have had great luck with Santa and the Easter Bunny. Hopefully that will continue.
How was your Easter???

She is such a cutie! We didn't do an Easter basket for our 3 month old, it's not like she's going to remember her first Easter! We were able to go to church though and she slept the whole time, she's such a good baby!
